Kiefer Sutherland joins Dragonlance
Keifer Sutherland is set to join the animated film Dragonlance, based on the book Dragons of Autumn Twilight in the Dragonlance Chronicles trilogy. He is set to play Raistlin Majere, and joins Lucy Lawless as Goldmoon, Michael Rosenbaum as Tanis Half-Elven and Michelle Trachtenberg as Tike Waylan...for those of you that know.
The tale, according to VFX World, is about...
...lifelong friends have united again, though each holds secrets about strange monsters, creatures of myth, creatures of legend. However, a chance encounter with a beautiful, sorrowful woman, who bears a magical crystal staff, draws the companions deeper into the shadows, forever changing their lives and shaping the fate of the world.
There's an official site for the movie online.
I'm really enjoying Sutherland in the current series of 24, but I'm starting to pick up on all these habitual mannerisms he has in his acting, for instance when he backs down in a conversation, feels guilty, things like that, he dips his head and looks side to side. It's kind of the same thing that happend with George Clooney in E.R. So the more work he does away from 24 the more the audience are going to keep going with the character of Bauer for more series...that is as long as in these other roles he's not playing Bauer. For that reason it'll be interesting to see The Sentinel.
