LL Cool J as Black Panther?

LLCoolJ.jpgI had thought that Wesley Snipes was pushing a Black Panther film, the adaptation of the comic book character, and yet rumour has it that Jamie Foxx is pushing LL Cool J for the film. I'm confused.

From Moviehole comes the rumour:

"I said, 'My man, you the only cat that can really pull this off. There's this black superhero called Panther", Contact Music quoted Foxx as saying..."We're trying to get this Panther production set up, because I think he'll smash that."

Apparently he's talking about The Black Panther comic book character, and that Cool J has enlisted Foxx's help to get the film moving forward. There's another snippet over at MTV NewsMTV News:

"Cause I also mentioned to him about black superheroes. I said, 'My man, you the only cat that can really pull this off.' There's this black superhero called Panther. So we started talking about that...we trying to get this Panther production set up, because I think he'll smash that."

What do you think, is Cool J a good Black Panther? Certainly has a superb physique for it, and he has the acting chops. Yet what happened to the Snipes driven version of the movie? I'm personally a huge fan of Cool J, so I'd love to see it.

Working with Jimmy Stewart in It's a Wonderful Life was very demanding. He's so natural, so realistic, that I never knew whether he was talking to me or doing the scene.
