Lost film is lost?
When the co-creator of the Lost series says that they'd like a movie outing for the show in four to five years, I think it's a safe bet to say it won't happen, and that's just what they are saying:
Co-creator Damon Lindelof tells PR Inside, "We'd love to end the show after four year, five years tops and do a movie."
Is the quote from over at Moviehole. Four to five years? After four or five series?
I guess the big question is will there be the appetite for it firstly, I mean I have found myself getting wound up at the first six or seven episodes of the second series. They've basically recreated the original group who were lost and run through the storyline of getting to know them through the perils of an unknown enemy on the island. Same as the first series. It's only now since they've gotten together the interest is rising again.
So if the desire from the audience is still there after four or five series, how could the film possibly work? The series thrives on the continual mystery and cliff hangers, would that format translate?
