Apparently at Comic-Con Neil Marshall let slip that a sequel to The Descent (review) is coming soon and is a definite.

The news comes from Bloody Disgusting, and there's not much to it other than the statement that he's working hard on it already.

In a way it's a bit of a shame that he's going for a sequel to this superb horror rather than taking us on pastures new again, however with Marshall we know that we're going to be in for something special with plenty of scares and horror as well as superbly written dialogue.
