New Ghost Rider footage
There's been some new footage for Ghost Rider shown for Comic Con and although it's not yet available on the Internet (I'm sure it will be, this film needs all the help it can get) there's a very telling description of the clip that gives us the sense of the film.
Now bear in mind that the person who wrote this will have interpreted it into words, so there is a sense of translation, but here's what they said over at Coming Soon about a specific scene...
...begins with Mendes looking for an explanation as to why she was stood up for a dinner date the previous evening. Cage struggles with the right words to explain himself. She assures him that she has heard and seen it all and that nothing will surprise her. So, reluctantly, Cage says, "I sold my soul to the devil." He explains the entire situation to her, including his transformation into 'a monster' and she replies with making a claw gesture... "So tonight, you'll 'arrrrgh'". He replies – "I believe so."
That sounds incredibly poor, and sure we're lacking visuals and all, but that dialogue. Perhaps there's more to it and it would have to be seen in context, but just playing that scene out in your head it sounds like a big "Doh!" moment. This film is not sounding or looking good at all.
