Night Watch, or Nochnoy Dozor, is the first film in the Russian trilogy about the forces of night and day doing battle with each other and attempting to keep the peace between each other. The story originally came from a novel, and the good news is that the novel is being translated into English for us all to enjoy.

The news comes from Fangoria through Jo Blo. The book is of the same name and is written by Sergei Lukyanenko. The The Night Watch by Sergei Lukyanenko is available now for purchase, and the sequel The Day Watch is due in January 2007.
