Details of the superb Police Squad TV series on DVD are now available, this series was the run up to those Naked Gun films as well as the Airplane movies, and I have to say this was the grandaddy of all those films and jokes, it's superb.

The announcement was made back in April, and word was that the director David Zucker was busy recording audio commentaries, well now logboy at Twitch has given me the happiest news of the week over at DVDActive, it's coming in November.

The specifications are...

...a single disc and presented at their originally televised 1.33:1 full frame aspect ratio, along with English Dolby Digital 5.1 and Dolby 2.0 Mono soundtracks. Extras will include a brand-new interview with actor Leslie Nielsen, behind-the-scenes featurettes, audio commentary by the creators on select episodes, a gag reel, and more.

Wow, that's enough for me. Come on Police Squad fans, how cool is this?
