Ryder talks Heathers sequel?
The original writer of Heathers, Daniel Waters, is talking with Winona Ryder on a possible sequel to that very same 1989 hit with Ryder and Christian Slater. Is nothing sacred?
According to Entertainment Weekly through Jo Blo:
Says Winona, "There's Heathers in the real world! We have to keep going!"
Jo Blo speculates that perhaps that might take it into a work setting, or perhaps they might remain in high school, nothing like covering the bases guys! If it is in school you can guarantee no Ryder, unless she's going to be a teacher there, and that would be pathetic. Frankly, I like the work idea, if they have to do a sequel.
Imagine the story in a work setting, perfect for these types of sociopathic characters. Don't you see them everyday sitting around you? Or perhaps you're one of them! I think in a bizarre way this idea might work, as long as it's handled properly and it's not just a vehicle to get Ryder back on the scene.
