Simpsons Movie footage online

Footage from Comic-Con for the upcoming The Simpsons movie is online, although it's fair to say the drawings are very rough showing scenes rather than expressions and synching with the voices. However, it does look like fun, and all the Simpson elements we know and love are there.

You can see the footage over at You Tube found through Coming Soon.

Have a look, see what you think, and then come back with your thoughts. Do you really think that after all these years there is enough left in the Simpsons themselves to make an original movie?

I just sent this to the misses...you are the MAN!!!

there were some real surprisingly strong laughs in there, I think!!! And even at this stage you can see how well the animation is going to be executed!

Will check the trailer when I get home. Reserving judgement, I'm sill not sure about a feature length Simpsons. The 20-odd minutes is perfect, usually having a major and minor storyline in there. And that works for me. A feature length might work, may well be popular, may max out the box office, but [the idea of] it is just not flicking my switch.

Anyway, this is the super smash hit of animation next year. The must-see for everyone.

The Simpsons seems to have run out of steam in recent years. It used to me punch, punch, punch, punch in terms of gags. Now it's hit and miss. I can only hope that the movie is good. It will do huge business, but whether it will rank along with their best episodes, let alone best movies, I'm not too sure.
