The Abomination confirmed for Hulk 2

Hulk.jpgThe recently announced director of The Incredible Hulk, Louis Leterrier, has confirmed that the evil doer in the next Hulk film will be the Abomination, so for all those that thought the problems with Hulk were not enough smashing, you're getting two for the price of one.

According to Comic Book Movie from SuperHero Hype:

"He's capable of amazing feats," Arad had said earlier in describing the former Yugoslav spy hit by Gamma rays and turned into a more intelligent, but uglier, version of the Hulk.

Well that's nice. I don't think that they're necessarily doing the right thing by just turning their backs on the first film and running in the opposite direction at great speed. What do you think? Were all the problems in Hulk down to not enough fighting and smashing?

I rather liked the first Hulk movie. I honestly felt the feel of the film was correct, and the creative comic book panel layout was a favorite.

Now, I did think that the ending was a bit rushed, and I could have passed on the giant dogs, but the Hulk essentials were present.

I would continue the franchise with a more smashing hulk sequel, but I wouldn't retcon the first film.

No matter how they want to play it, there will be very few who will be able to ignor the original while watching the new one. I know that I will be compairing, and testing the changes to the first, what about you?

This is because Ang Lee... don´t take me wrong, but if you want a cure to insomnia, whatever form it takes, watch any Ang Lee movie. The best natural solution ever invented to sleep problems comes from China.

this is exactly what the hulk sequel needed...
something or someone who could seriously either go toe to toe or manipulate the hulk...or even both.

Now I want to know what they're looking to make him appear as. There have been a few different artistic renderings of the Abomination...all were cool...

...for part 3, my favorite villain: THE LEADER.
and then i'd die happy.

I definitely agree with Brad. A total restart is completely unnecessary. Granted the first movie wasn't to everyone's taste (I liked it a lot) but I think it's universally accepted that, regardless of whether you hated or loved Hulk, that better action would have improved the film.

The addition of Abomination is a good start. But I would definitely prefer if they decided to continue on from where Ang Lee's picture ended. It has a perfect set up, especially of they want to have it more in-keeping with the television show.

I hope that the second movie will be as good if not better than the first.
However I hop that it does turn into a rubbish sequel which seems to be becoming more and more common these days.
