The full trailer for Martin Scorsese's The Departed, the remake of the Hong Kong thriller Infernal Affairs, is now online. I was very surprised by it because it actually struck me how strong it looks and how character focussed it seems.

Now that you've seen the full thing, including annoying voice over man, what do you think? Are all those of you who once thought this was going to be rubbish now thinking this has a chance of coming through as a superbly strong remake? I think it does now. It looks like Scorsese has kept his eyes on the characterisation and the constant paranoia that grips these characters. I may have to make a u-turn on my thoughts of this movie, are you with me?
