The Fountain delayed again

TheFountain_Poster.jpgDarren Aronofsky's much anticipated film The Fountain has been delayed again, although this time it's probably much more to do with shifting the schedule to get favourable box office returns rather than actual problems...we hope.

Previously, on The Fountain, delays were commonplace for all sorts of reasons, but mainly down to just the ambitious scope of the project. It'll be extremely interesting to see if this delay is just down to scheduling or if there are some re-edits going on.

Whatever reason, this has to be one of the hottest must-see movies of the year, the trailer just blew my socks off...not that I was wearing any at the time, but if I was. The date moves come from Box Office Mojo through Cinema Blend. Now scheduled for a November 22nd release this year, rather than the October 13th.

Are you bothered about the date, or are you just ever so hopeful that we get to see it this year and it's as good as that trailer suggests?

This is the confirmation that 2006 could be the worst year in film history since the Lumiére Brothers came up with the invention.

This is not going to be released in Spain until 2007, along many other good movies (Zodiac, Apocalypto...)
