BBC mistake inspires movie
That poor bloke Guy Goma that the BBC put live on air by mistake is not going to be poor for long, Allison Rosenzweig is set to make a based on the quirky twist of fate.
Rosenzweig, if this is the right one mentioned by Yahoo News, was a producer for Windtalkers and the announced Darksiders, a movie about vampires recruited by the FBI. Oh yes, Goma's story is in safe hands.
A mix-up resulted in Goma appearing on the British Broadcasting Corp.'s News 24 program as an expert on Internet music downloads. The BBC had intended to interview computer expert Guy Kewney, but after a mistake at a reception desk, employees brought Goma to the studio. Goma, who had been waiting in a reception area for a job interview, found himself on air and answering questions.
Since then he's become a little bit of an Internet star, so it's no wonder that there's such talk now, but the story is quite clear that the event is the inspiration for a tale, it's not going to be a film of Goma and the BBC mistake, they are at storyline stages at the moment and don't even have a scriptwriter. What a world.
