Biel talks Next starring Cage

JessicaBiel.jpgJessica Biel has been talking about her next movie...Next, starring Nicolas Cage as a man who can see a mere two minutes into the future. He becomes involved with the FBI who are attempting to predict an impending terrorist attack using his powers. Biel talks about her characters involvement with Cage's character...

"I play this woman named Liz, who's a schoolteacher [and] who's just a normal person who gets wrapped up in this crazy world, because Nick keeps seeing the face of this person," Biel said. "Whenever he sees her, he can see further into the future. He doesn't understand who this woman is or why his powers are stronger when she's around..."

Sci Fi Wire carry the quote. The film is a based on The Golden Man, a short story by Philip K. Dick and directed for the big screen by Lee Tamahori, and also stars Peter Falk and Julianne Moore.

It's a delicious idea, that the character can see into the future, but only a few minutes. It's like it just falls short of an amazing gift. Then the tease of involvement from this other character of the school teacher who allows him to see further, makes me more interested. I'm tempted to read the short story, but I do believe that I'll hold off for the movie.

You only think I guessed wrong! That's what's so funny! I switched glasses when your back was turned! Ha ha! You fool! You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! The most famous is never get involved in a land war in Asia, but only slightly less well-known is this: never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Ha ha ha...
