Filmstalker: Costner returns to Field of Dreams

Kevin Costner is going to return to the site where Field of Dreams was filmed, Dysersville in Iowa, for a special screening of the movie itself.

The story from the Guardian tells us that Netflix have organised the tour to bring ten classic movies back to the site of their filming. Field of Dreams will return to where the baseball pitch was created and portions of the movie filmed, and will include a special appearance by Costner with a free concert following the film by his unnamed band.

It would be great to see the film on the actual site, shown on a thirty foot inflatable screen, but the rest of it including Costner's appearance could just fall by the wayside for me. I love that movie.

What films would you like to see in an authentic setting that matches the movie? Blair Witch in a deserted old building in the middle of a forest for example? V for Vendetta projected against the Houses of Parliment?

I wonder how people will react to seeing Snakes On A Plane as their in-flight movie.

You'll never see a film where something negative occurs in or to a plane during a flight...or perhaps you have, but I have never seen one that was planned.

Stella Screen does something in the UK, and they've shown Raiders of the Lost Ark in the Ratho Center, which is a huge quarry converted into an adventure center with climbing, biking, etc. I think they also showed Braveheart at Stirling Castle and Dead Ringers in the Royal College of Surgeons.
