Kaufman directs Hoffman and Michelle Williams
Philip Seymour Hoffman and Michelle Williams seem set to join the directorial debut of Charlie Kaufman in Synecdoche, and incredibly weird sounding movie.
A figure of speech in which a part of something stands for the whole or the whole for a part, as wheels for automobile or society for high society.
Is what the word means, as in law for police officer, or steel for sword - get it? Took me a little while, but I did get there.
Since Kaufman wrote the strange but utterly wonderful Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, I think it would be fair to expect more of the same.
According to Production Weekly through Coming Soon, the film looks at an anguished playwright and several women in his life...go on someone, apply that to the word and work it out!
