Last King of Scotland trailer online

ForestWhitaker.jpgThe Last King of Scotland trailer is now online, and it looks packed with excitement and big performances. I'm a big fan of Forest Whitaker already, but seeing him devour the screen as Idi Amin looks to be one of his finest performances to date.

You can see the trailer over at Apple Trailers [QT:M:HD]. See if you can spot that brief appearance from Gillian Anderson with an English accent.

The film is based on the events of the Ugandan dictator Idi Amin's regime as viewed by his personal physician, a Scottish Doctor who joined his service during the 1970's. As he discovers what is really happening behind the facade of the "people's friend" ruler, he begins to worry about his own survival.

What do you think, is it looking good? I felt the tension rising as I watched it, and the performances are guaranteed to be big, James McAvoy looks as though he's holding his own against the acting might of Whitaker. Definitely a film to put on the watchlist.

Billy: I'm scared Poncho.
Poncho: Bullshit. You ain't afraid of no man.
Billy: There's something out there waiting for us, and it ain't no man. We're all gonna die.
