Briefly images of the new look of Megatron for the movie Transformers appeared online, but they've been quickly removed after the very person who let them lose on the public requested so.

The scooper gave them to AICN who duly posted them, however soon after he asked they be removed and so they were. In the brief time they were online the comments weren't very positive - they didn't like them. However a lot of the AICN comments are negative from the get go. However Merrick over there is adamant that these were the actual images because of the source, although he's keen to point out that they are early works in progress.

The story was picked up by Cinematical quite quickly, and they appear to have captured the face of Megatron from the image. Since the scooper requested the image be removed I won't host it, but you can catch it on Cinematical for as long as they have it.

I think from what I've seen it looks damn cool and very mean, well updated to look like a killer machine rather than a nice human face. It's all dark metallic greys, sharp and angular, and slightly insect like for the face. Superb stuff, I can't wait to see the updated version.

Update: Seems as though various sites are posting the pictures anyway. servewithchips.blogspot.com has the AICN images that were removed. So if the poor scooper was trying to protect his job, he's probably lost it by now.
