Pacino's 88 minutes trailer online

AlPacino.jpgThe trailer for the film 88 minutes starring Al Pacino is now online, and it's a bit of a bolt out of the blue because we've not been hearing about it for some time.

The trailer is over at MFTM, and comes through Jo Blo, and they carry the blurb for the film, should you have forgotten while it's been sitting on some shelf.

Pacino stars as a college professor who, when told via a sinister phonecall that he has the titular minutes to live, races frantically to discover the source of the phone call and whether the caller really plans on following through with his claim

Interestingly it's due out in the UK before the US - is that usually a bad sign? - and is due quite soon, October the 6th to be exact. I can't see this from work (since we're not on Flash 8!), so as usual I need you all to review the trailer for everyone else. What's Pacino like in it? Does the plot look interesting, or is it just borrowing from films before?

I have to wait till I get home too! I love Al Pacino and I have heard of this project, so excited! I havent seen him since "The Merchant of Venice"!

Looks okay, but there's gotta be a twist. Sounds too "24" for me.

Some strange faces in the cast though. Some I haven't seen in a while and one of the guys from the OC.

I always love a good 'race against time' plot - and Al Pacino, an actor I never get tired of watching. I'm there!

I can watch him ANYTIME too! ;D

Well Jayne you should check out Nick of Time with Johnny Depp and Christopher Walken, all filmed in real time.

Hi Richard - I did see 'Nick of Time' very recently actually when it worked its way to the top of my rental queue and I really liked it - great to see Depp in a decent thriller having made the mistake of watching 'Secret Window' a while back...

Yeah, after watching "Secret Window", I was like, what's up with that???

It looks decent enough. I do love a good Al Pacino movie. The last movies in which I saw him were the very disappointing People I Know, and the moderately entertaining The Recruit.

I hope this turns out to be a good flick for our man Al. Nice to see Neal McDonough in there too.
