Romper Stomper's Macbeth

Macbeth.jpgHere's a weird combination, the writer of Romper Stomper and a contemporary Macbeth set in the ganglands of Melbourne, what do you get? Geoffrey Wright's Macbeth.

Then add just and extra twist, Victoria Hill who plays Lady Macbeth co-wrote the screenplay with Wright. Sam Worthington is Macbeth (above) and Lacy Hulme will be taking the part of Banquo. An interesting cast indeed and all Australian.

The film currently has a website, although there's only a cast run down and twelve images so far, but a flick through those pictures does reveal some interesting images, men running with automatic weapons, school children as the three witches. Something definitely to watch out for.
