Snakes on Plane director speaks
Just when you thought you couldn’t hear anymore about Snakes on a Plane, along comes an interview with the director David Ellis. It seems he’s really pleased with the publicity machine for one of the summers most anticipated films, and he’s not even slightly concerned that it’s now become over hyped.
No, I'm not worried about that at all. I mean, there's two kinds of hype. There's the hype of the people that are fans and can't wait to see Sam Jackson say "motherf*ckin' snakes" and all that stuff, and then there are the ones who are going to go see the movie but they're just more intrigued and think it's going to be the best "worst movie of the year." I think the ones going with that in mind are going to be surprised that the movie is actually really good and really works.
You can read the whole interview over at Coming Soon. The film has had its fair share of troubles on the way to the big screen. A change of director, reshoots to raise it’s rating to an R, and then the decision not to have any advance press screenings. I have to say I'm in no rush to see it, I think I'll wait for the DVD.
