The film is an adaptation of a James Ellroy novel, and is directed by Brian De Palma. It follows the investigation into the murder of a young actress. The investigation soon reveals corruption and deceit within the police. It stars Josh Hartnett, Aaron Eckhart and Scarlet Johansson to name a few.
