Bobby trailer online
There's a trailer for Emilio Estevez's mammoth cast film Bobby online. Bobby is the story of the night of the murder of Robert F. Kennedy on June 6th 1968 as seen through the eyes of various different onlookers.
The cast is just stunning, and from all accounts the story and the direction are too, it seems that Estevez is a mega-director in the making. However the trailer tells a different story. It certainly does show us the cast is great, in fact that's what it feels like it's doing as it introduces us to all the big name actors we would know, it's a showcase of talent, and why not? Just have a look at some of the names:
Harry Belafonte, Emilio Estevez, Laurence Fishburne, Heather Graham, Anthony Hopkins, Helen Hunt, Joshua Jackson, Ashton Kutcher, Shia LaBeouf, Lindsay Lohan, William H. Macy, Demi Moore, Freddy Rodríguez, Martin Sheen, Christian Slater, Sharon Stone, Elijah Wood
Pretty impressive. Yet the trailer doesn't do anything else for me other than tell me that the film seems to focus on a hotel and Kennedy. Interestingly it also takes a departure from the feelings you get from the blurb and the idea of the film, a strong politically and morally charged film.
What do you think? Have a look at the trailer which CinemaBlend have managed to get a hold of. Do you feel the same way? Is there something lacking? I just don't think it's doing the film justice, and I really believe the film is going to be strong.
