Braff to say yes to Fletch

Fletch.jpgPreviously I wrote that Zach Braff wasn't that sure about playing Fletch in the new film (Fletch Won) that was being written and had already gained his Scrubs director Bill Lawrence. Now though, there's a subtle change in his wording.

According to Coming Soon:

"I don't know. Bill Lawrence is definitely writing and directing 'Fletch,' and there's a good chance I'll do it. I've just got to talk to Uncle Harvey…I was the one who told Harvey he should hire Bill..."

Well that's way more positive and definite than before, and it sounds like he's really into it. He goes on to talk that they've been thinking about dropping the heavy comic aspect and returning to the more serious novels, both Braff and Lawrence said no, and they are targetting keeping the action and adventure in equal measure with the comedy.

That's another great sign. The fact that he's so involved in the early decisions of the project means he's way more than thinking about this. I think it's just a matter of time before he announces he's signed up.
