Doug Jones confirms Silver Surfer

SilverSurfer.jpgDoug Jones has confirmed that he will be starring in Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer as the Silver Surfer.

Well I think we all knew it by now, there wasn't really a surprise, and they'd played it out so long that there's nothing really to make us go "wow" at. The big thing we really want to know now is how he will look as a finalised creature. I wonder if some stills will appear soon to whet our appetite for the movie?

Over at The Doug Jones Experience through Toxic Shock, his publicist confirms:

Doug has signed to play the mysterious intergalactic herald in Fox's FANTASTIC FOUR: RISE OF THE SILVER SURFER, and filming is taking place in Vancouver, BC, Canada.

One has to wonder what is happening to the rest of the Fantastic team, doesn't it seem like the entire film is being hijacked by the Surfer (and quite rightly so in my mind), but it does make you think what is happening to the rest of the cast, how much screen time is everyone going to have, and will it be enough?

Spot on Richard. With all the "is he/isn't he" bullshit over the past few months I've completely lost interest. Hopefully if we can get a few pics of him in costume or some slick pre-vis shots, maybe i'll be interested again. Maybe.
