Keith Richards "wobbly" at Pirates cameo

KeithRichards.jpgSeems as though Keith Richards has already filmed his cameo in Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End and according to rumour he was keeping up the Richards mythology by being "slightly wobbly".

According to a report from Fox News through Rope of Silicon he was quite drunk.

To keep him straight, director Gore Verbinski held Richards by the shins. “You’ve got to keep straight,” Verbinski told him.

“If you’d wanted straight, then you got the wrong man,” Richards replied huskily.

Richards’ pirate costume, sources say, closely resembles Depp’s, with a different colored bandana. The two had such a good time together that Depp kept a souvenir from Richards’ short visit: a set of stairs built for Richards to get in and out of his trailer, which he signed to Depp with the salutation, “A step too far.”

The rumour was told to the Fox News reporter at Premiere Magazine Women in Hollywood Awards and was repeated later by none other than Bill Nighy.

It sounds so ridiculous it could almost be true, but then again it sounds like a perfect marketing rumour too. Whichever it's a great story for the Richards-Depp-Sparrow story and the films.

I find this story completely funny! What more could we expect from Mr. Richards? I tell you it'll be interesting to see him and Depp side by side on the big screen come next spring.
