Here's an interesting site that lists sequel and remake information for film, television and even musicals and videogames. It's a strange mix, but an interesting site none the less. The links for the films all head through to IMDB, but it's a pretty comprehensive list.

Unfortunately as I scanned through the list I caught a mistake almost immediately, The Grudge 2 is not a remake. Oh I know you're wanting to argue, but I'm afraid it's not a remake at all, it's a sequel to the US version of The Grudge, which is the US remake of Ju-on: The Grudge. You see it's not a remake of Ju-on: The Grudge 2 which is the Japanese version, it's a new script written following from the US Grudge and written in a different take from the Japanese sequel. Anyway, regardless of that, have a look at the site, it's called Sequelogue, a catalogue of the Hollywood mistakes and lack of originality.
