BloodRayne and Alone in the Dark sequels?
Oh yes, fresh from beating people up because they say bad things about him, Uwe Boll is heading for another round of beatings with the news that he's lining up sequels for BloodRayne and Alone in the Dark.
The news from JoBlo through CinemaBlend is sad to say the least, but it's interesting the direction he's talking about taking BloodRayne - BloodRayne 2: Deliverance will be Vampires and Cowboys. Oh come on, that's got to pull out a few laughs with Boll at the helm.
Interestingly, as both sites report and as I wrote about in my previous writing life, the German tax credit system that gave incentives galore for filming and allowed Boll to write off so much of the films he made, is gone. So this would mean that he'd have to try and turn a healthy profit on them, or somehow manage to keep finding funding. This might also mean that he'd have to produce something worthy of drawing in a strong audience - could he have it in him?
Let's hope he can and he stops fighting those who disagree and starts to prove them wrong, especially with Kristanna Loken. Before that momentous moment though, we still have Seed, In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale, Postal and Far Cry to get through.
