Kilmer and Clooney casting news

GeorgeClooney.jpgTwo quick notes of casting news for Val Kilmer and George Clooney.

George Clooney is set to rejoin the Cohen brothers in a film called Burn After Reading, a tale of the missing memoirs of a CIA agent. The news comes from Empire. The story follows the lost manuscript and is a partly comical film which is losely based on the book by a former CIA head called Burn After Reading: Presidents, CIA Directors And Secret Intelligence. Clooney won't take the lead, but he will play a hitman in the film.

From Empire comes the news that Val Kilmer has joined A West Texas Children’s Story which follows two kids heading cross-country in search of a better life during the 1960's. Already starring are Matthew Modine and Lara Flynn Boyle, Brad Isaacs is set to write and direct. Interesting news because when Kilmer is on form he's a stunning actor, it's just that he has a lot of off form!

Have you seen Kilmer in Michael Apted's Thunderheart Richard? I thought he was very good in that.

I have, a while ago though and I can't really remember that much about it...For every good role though there's always a Saint!

Ahh yes of course, opposite Elisabeth Shue.
