Rambo IV gains title

Rambo.jpgRambo IV: In the Serpent's Eye is the title for the new Rambo film written, produced and directed by Sylvester Stallone.

More of the plot has been revealed, according to Production Weekly through Coming Soon:

Rambo recruited by a group of Christian human rights missionaries to protect them against pirates, during a humanitarian aid deliver to the persecuted Karen people of Burma. After some of the missionaries are taken prisoner by sadistic Burmese soldiers, Rambo gets a second impossible job: to assemble a team of mercenaries to rescue the surviving relief workers.

Rambo runs a team. If only that team included Arnie and Bruce Willis. Unfortunately it doesn't, but I'm still looking forward to this and his new Rocky.

Love the title, and surprisingly, the plot too!

Wow!!! Rambo and Rocky, I know some hate these movies, but you have to admit, they have been with us for over 2 decades. It must mean something for movies with such staying power.

You have to give Sly credit for that Mike, he's a stayer. I keep harping on about Copland whenever I talk about Sly, but I want to see more performances like that, I kind of feel a little cheated knowing he can give us that and has stuck to lesser action movies to date.

Stallone really caught me by surprise in Copland. I'm not the biggest Rocky fan in the world but I'm looking forward to Rambo IV. Plot sounds so much better than what I had heard before - Rambo's daughter gets kidnapped, cue Commando: The Remake.

To quote Doug Nagy, "John Rambo does not pro-create!"

I'll come out and say I missed Copland, but I can always add it to my rental queue.

It appears that rental queue of yours is huge, Simone!

Hehehehe it is actually spidey. I have like 20 outstanding from both LoveFilm and Amazon.

You have 328 items in your selection
You have rated 166 items

That's my Tesco queue...never mind my LoveFilm!

Good heavens! It was Richard who got me into this rental thing, saying that I need to check Tesco rentals.

I suppose the Sly films I loved apart from the Rocky and Rambo ones were those like Cobra, Assassins, Tango and Cash. For the life of me I cant remember why I skipped Copland.
