Is anyone else a bit fed up of Julia Roberts playing the same old character on an emotional journey? I know I am, especially when we know there's a hell of an actress in there stuck behind these roles, remember Closer (review). News is that she's set to do it again, here's the plot summary:

[Elizabeth] Gilbert had a husband, a big apartment and a weekend home and was trying to get pregnant, until she realized that wasn't the life she wanted. After a painful divorce, she set off on a journey of self-discovery around the world.

This is the story of Eat, Pray, Love, the Elizabeth Gilbert memoirs which have just been picked up by Paramount for a Roberts vehicle and Brad Pitt's production company. From Variety through Coming Soon

More of the same, or something a little different? I wish she would take more dramatic roles with a bit of a bite to them.
