The Time Traveler's Wife cast
Rachel McAdams has reportedly signed up for the role of The Time Traveller's Wife, which is also the name of the film, how convenient for my writing! The film does sound incredibly interesting and packed with potential, although there are different plots depending on who you read. From IMDB:
A man with a time-traveling gene uses his innate abilities to visit his lover at different points in her life.
Dull, dull. Now from TMZ through Coming Soon who have the story on her casting:
Clare, a beautiful art student, and Henry, an adventuresome librarian, who have known each other since Clare was six and Henry was thirty-six, and were married when Clare was twenty-three and Henry thirty-one. Impossible but true, because Henry is one of the first people diagnosed with Chrono-Displacement Disorder: periodically his genetic clock resets and he finds himself misplaced in time, pulled to moments of emotional gravity in his life, past and future. His disappearances are spontaneous, his experiences unpredictable, alternately harrowing and amusing.
Now that sounds much, much better, although the amusing at the end makes me think comedy, however it does sound like it's a story packed with possibilities. Interestingly the word is that either Robert Schwentke from Flightplan (review) or Stephen Frears from Dirty Pretty Things is set to direct. Both would be very strong choices. Who would you pick?
