Arthur and the Invisibles (Minimoys) cast grows
There's quite a cast growing for Luc Besson's Arthur and the Invisibles (Minimoys). Previously we'd heard about a few of the additions:
David Bowie, Snoop Dogg and Madonna. Luckily they're also alongside such talent as Mia Farrow and Freddie Highmore.
The same story also carried the trailer for the film...which confuses me that now we're hearing of some other names added to the English speaking cast. From Coming Soon:
Robert De Niro, Madonna, Snoop Dogg, David Bowie, Freddie Highmore, Harvey Keitel, Anthony Anderson, Chazz Palminteri, Jason Bateman, Jimmy Fallon and Mia Farrow
Ah. Okay so some of those names we already heard about, it sounds like a press release to drum up some publicity. Still, the animated film sounds interesting, and that cast list is pretty diverse. From the previous story:
Arthur's Grandmother's house and land is put at risk when developers come to destroy it all. This not only threatens his Granny but also a mystical, minature world that she just told him about. A world that exists in the middle of the garden. To save both worlds he travels there to find a priceless treasure...It does look gorgeously done and seems to have some nice jokes littered about.
Sounds pretty standard fare, but add that cast, Besson and some great animation and I think we might see something rise above the rest.
