Richard Curtis is set to write and direct a new film, and it's not about British people in, or out, of love. The film is called The Boat That Rocked and is about a pirate radio station on a boat. A boat that's in the sea, not on dry land.

Sounds like the old pirate radio stations that were on boats just sitting in international waters with enough juice to broadcast to mainland UK.

Over at Empire they say that the rest of the story is being kept under wraps, but that Curtis has described it as Animal House meets Titanic. Yes, I think he was having a laugh there...or was he? Or could it be a real life story of some of the UK pirate radio stations?
