The trailer for the Bruce Almighty sequel, Evan Almighty, has been online for a wee bit, but I've just caught it in Quicktime MP4 goodness...and I've been broiled in a family emergency, so forgive me.

You can see the trailer for what, on the face of it, sounds like an idiotic sequel direct from AOL [QT:MP4:Stream] thanks to st39.6 at Movie List Forums.

It's interesting because I felt no love for this sequel, and despite the craze for Steve Carell I still find his humour slightly lifeless, and often the same old stuff. So I was suddenly perked up to see Morgan Freeman back as God, an inspired casting choice if ever I saw one, but that quickly faded. Intelligent animals doing human things just flattened anything in the trailer for me, I just thought of the Dolittle movies and cringed.

I'm not so sure about this, yes there was a good one liner here and there (I did count two), but it's really not my thing. I'd be interested to know if there's a US thing to liking this and Carell.
