Firth joins Winterbottom ghost story
Colin Firth is set to play a widower who just can't leave the ghosts of his past behind him in a new film by Michael Winterbottom.
Described as a contemporary ghost story, according to Coming Soon, the film has Firth's character travelling with his teenage daughters to Italy to try and find a fresh start after being recently widowed, but he just can't escape the ghosts of his past.
I really do enjoy Firth when he's out of romantic roles, his role in Trauma (review) was superb, and something that sticks with me to this day. I want to see him do more of that and less period and/or romantic films.
