Green talks Casino Royale sequel

EvaGreen.jpgEva Green has been talking about Casino Royale, and in the interview she reveals a few secrets about the coming sequel for Casino Royale.

I should warn you now that the following story may contain some small reveals or suggestions at spoilers for Royale, and if you haven't seen it then it's probably best to stay clear of the story. Oh and definitely best to stay clear of the interviews as the one with Green gives loads away!

Well we knew Craig was signed for three films already, but Green has revealed that the next baddie for Bond to face will be the Algerian ex-boyfriend of Vesper.

Cinema Blend carry the interview with Green and Mads Mikkelsen from EW, and they think that Green is suggesting she'll be back to with the comment...

they're going to do a second [movie] where you'll understand what's going on in her mind...The plan is, the Algerian boyfriend is going to be the baddie in the second Bond, and we'll understand [better].

I think perhaps they might be right, we might see her in flashbacks and such, but I really don't believe there's much for her character to do in the next film. We're going to see some pretty fresh wounds reopened with this guy and Bond becoming more and more of the cold spy that we know so well.

This next film will be more about him becoming proficient with his art and concreting the emotional damage done to him in the first film.

I haven't seen this movie, but I'm guessing that her character got killed. Drowned perhaps? It looked that way from the trailer.
My point, oh yes, for some reason I thought this movie wasn't supposed to come out until next year. I guess I've read one of the articles waaaaay wrong.
So Richard, is it worth my ten bucks or should I wait until the DVD? I have never been a big fan of James Bond movies.

Please go and see it Poodle, if you dont like it I will happily reimburse your money. ;)

I am looking forward to my 2nd viewing of Casino Royale, and man I can't wait for the sequel!!! I loved it!

Oy Richard, what's taking you so long to write the review???!!! ;P

The review is about to be written - personal life problems have just swamped me these last few weeks, and especially this weekend.

Poodle - See it, honestly. Review up today.

Didn't mean to sound impatient just there Rich, you know me, but please accept my apologies if it came out that way. I hope everything's alright with you now though. ;)

Careful Simone, I might be tempted by your offer. Wait, don't you live on the other side of the world? I don't think Brit's money is going to do me any good. LOL.
A friend of mine saw this movie, and she told me [Removed spoiler - Richard], BUT she would not tell me how [And again - RIchard]. Traitor...She liked it, but her male friend didn't. It was too sappy for him. As for me, I will really consider.

Poodle, I am sure they can convert GBP to USD? But I highly doubt that there will be a need for reimbursement.

Poodle, I'm going to 2nd Simone's recommendation. I absolutely LOVED CR. For myself, it was the best Bond film since Goldeneye. I'm thrilled with Daniel Craig as Bond. I was never very fond of Pierce, so the change up is a huge upgrade. This movie is definitely on the repeat viewing list! Also - my 10yr old daughter also gives this movie her seal approval.

I am looking forward to that review.

"Whatever it is, it can't be that bad!"

Londo Mollari, Babylon 5.

{{{Meli}}} I am in love again!!!! And you know who! ;)
