Kung Fu film gains directors

KungFu.jpgThe Kung Fu TV series starring David Carradine has been touted as a movie for some time, but today the news is out that the directors have been assigned to the project, Allen and Albert Hughes.

The Kung Fu series saw Carradine as a wandering Shaolin Monk who would defend the rights of the down trodden, kind of like an early Equalizer but set in the days of Cowboys and the Wild West.

According to Coming Soon Cory Goodman is rewriting the script that was created by the original series writers, apparently they will work hard to preserve the original feeling of the series within the film.

Frankly they had better, after all that's what made it so great. Anything else and it could just turn into quite an awful parody.
