The James McAvoy starrer, Starter for Ten, sounds like a cool British comedy, and there's a clip online for all to see.

The film is about one student and his struggle through his first year in Bristol University. Along the way he gets onto the much revered television quiz show University Challenge along with one of his fellow students who he happens to have the hots for. So he tries to win her over pretending to be intelligent and winning the show for her.

Mmm...sounds very British to me, and quick a different film for McAvoy. However it is getting quite a few strong reviews through IMDB.
