Black Snake Moan trailer online
The first trailer has appeared for Black Snake Moan, and it's looking pretty interesting. The premise already had me intrigued, in the deep south a strongly religious black man finds a young and beaten white girl lying in the middle of the road. He takes her home to fix her up, except he wants to do more than just fix her superficial wounds, he wants to heal the wounds inside, the wounds of drug and drink abuse, of sexual abuse and of self worth. She's not that keen on the idea though, and he chains her up in his house.
The whole idea seems already to be skating on thin ice, but seeing the trailer explains a lot more than the immediate controversy that you might pick out. The film stars Samuel L. Jackson and Christina Ricci. Oh, and Justin Timberlake's in it too.
You can see the trailer over at Rope of Silicon [QT:WMV:H:M:L]. Thanks to Ted Z from Big Screen Little Screen who found the original trailer leaked on Google Video - a copy of which can be played over the page.
What do you think now you've seen it? Is there going to be some word about the controversial elements of the film?
