Blood and Chocolate surprise?

BloodandChocolate.jpgBlood and Chocolate sounds like an Underworld clone but without the huge battle with vampires. The poster is out now and the plot runs something like this.

A female werewolf falls for a normal bloke and she struggles with her secret and her love.

That's it. All they wrote. The poster is over at Cinema Blend and they're not too excited by it either.

A quick glance at IMDB reveals the reasons for the similarities. The producers are from Underworld. However let's not write it off just yet, let me tell you a little about the writers.

From the novel by Annette Curtis Klause, Christopher Landon and Ehren Kruger wrote the screenplay. Landon also wrote one other screenplay, Ice-Cold in Alex which is a superb film that you really should see, and Kruger worked on Arlington Road, the US Ring series, The Skeleton Key and Brothers Grimm. He also has John Carter of Mars and The Talisman on his slate.

Now that's changed things a little, now I'm actually interested, the weak blurb has been pushed to the side. Are you interested after hearing that?

Actually, Blood and Chocolate was also the name of an Elvis Costello album from 1986.

Another interesting tidbit: On that very same album, Mr. Costello was credited as "Napoleon Dynamite". I own it and it's actually pretty good.
