Cattrall reveals Sex and the City film?

SexandtheCity.jpgThe rumour of a Sex and the City film has been up and down more times than Samantha has, and the last at the start of November suggested that negotiations with the stars was underway. Now there's a claim that the ever sexy Kim Cattrall has just returned to the US from her UK stage run and been surprised about the news...what news?

From The Star through ENewsI.com Cattrall...

...has spent the last three and a half months acting in DAVID MAMET's THE CRYPTOGRAM in London. She admits she only found out about the film when she came back to the US. She tells American publication Star, "I've just come home and there was just this flood of excitement!"...Catrall puts the rumours to rest adding, "I'm just so glad we haven't been missed or forgotten!"

I've removed a few things from that story, the introduction of the previous rumours and that Cattrall played Samantha Jones, and also the run down of the rumour that Cattrall was the one that was pushing back on the idea of a film. So with all that in mind how can we read into the above that she's been approached about the film and it's going ahead? To me it doesn't sound that strong a comment, but it does suggest something is afoot.

Combine it with the previous rumour of the negotiations underway and I think perhaps something is happening here. No one from the show has really soared after the series, so it wouldn't be hard to imagine them coming back to it, and there's a load of people who would want to see them return, isn't there?

Well, SJP has made films even before she starred in SatC, and since it fold. she has done a few more rom-coms that didnt do too well, Failure to Launch is such an ironic title on hindsight. I dont see why there is a need for a film version really, wouldnt this girls want to move on? But of course, if you want to bleed it dry then...

I loved Sex In The City, it was great to watch with my girlfriends and we still refer back to episodes sometimes; however that doesn't mean I would want to see a movie. Personally, I have no interest whatsoever to see a movie made. I hope one isn't.

Didnt you just love Mr. Big, huh Meli? ;D

Isn't it ironic that none of the main characters in sex and the city are indeed sexy.

Series was mildly amusing, but as repetetive as you could possibly get. Movie will rake in the dollars, but will be a longer version of one of the episodes.

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
