De Niro's not directing any more

RobertDeNiro.jpgRobert De Niro has said that his directing days are over. Well, he's keen to make his Good Shepherd sequel, but after that it sounds like he's had enough.

"I'm not gonna direct many more movies. I directed three and I think that's it for me. But I'd like to do a second part of this story from 1961 to the fall of the Berlin Wall. I would love to revisit the characters and see how they wind up. That's really something that would be worth doing."

Is the quote from StarPulse News Blog.

I wonder what the reasoning there is behind De Niro's choice? Perhaps it's as simple as he doesn't enjoy it behind the camera as in front?

I must confess, I have not seen any of those 3 films, but then I would get to see The Good Shepherd when it comes out.

I love him in front of the camera though. ;)
