Del Toro to make Deadman trailer
Guillermo del Toro has been after Deadman for a while, back in July we heard that he was in negotiations to direct and a few weeks ago we heard that he had hired a writer for the project. Now, to prove the concept, Warner Brothers are financing him to create a small trailer as a proof of concept.
"What happened is, I've gotten an incredibly beautiful offer from Warner Bros to finance a trailer...So they said we'll finance a trailer so that you can show us what you see the movie being like. And I'm going to storyboard and script a little three minute trailer."
/Film have the comments from del Toro, and he's thinking that he'll make it on an off weekend from Hellboy 2.
Sounds like a good idea. It's something that I hadn't realised Sin City did. The opening sequence with Josh Hartnett was shot as a trial by Robert Rodriguez to persuade Frank Miller to give him the rights to make the film.
I wonder if we'll get to see the trailer?
