Gaiman's Stardust pictures online
Neil Gaiman's Stardust is a film that really doesn't interest me, and the fault of that is mainly down to MirrorMask (Filmstalker review) which really didn't touch me on a story telling level. Now that the first pictures are online for Stardust, I'm still not interested.
The film is directed by Matthew Vaughn - ah you see now I'm interested, the man who did such a great job of Layer Cake (Filmstalker review) and showed us the new Bond - and tells the story of, as IMDB put it...
In a countryside town bordering on a magical land, a young man makes a promise to his beloved that he'll retrieve a fallen star by venturing into the magical realm.
Wooo. That sounds...well...dull. I know perfectly well that the Gaiman original will be a superb piece of work, but I am concerned how this turns out on screen for MirrorMask certainly didn't make the transition well.
There are three pictures online, amazingly I missed them at Cinema Blend and caught the link back to them through AICN - sorry Josh, I do carefully read your stuff most days!
Right, I fully expect I now have to duck from all Gaiman fans...
