There's a pathetically bad teaser trailer out on the Internet for Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. It's blurry almost continuously and the bits you can see are either long shots or shots of actors doing nothing. There's no real closeup of the Surfer.

Which leads me to believe that this wasn't taken by a someone in the cinema at all. I mean wouldn't you do a quick shot to test the focus before the lights went down then lock it? Why would the focus keep going out during all the moments we would really see anything of the Surfer? I think it's a marketing ploy, and a clever one at that.
