1408 superb trailer online
The trailer is out on the Internet for 1408, the Stephen King adapted film from Mikael Håfström who brought us Derailed (Filmstalker review), and starring John Cusack, Samuel L. Jackson and Mary McCormack.
The film tells the story of a man who's daughter died at an early age and ever since he's been obsessed with finding out about the paranormal. He's found nothing however, and he's become a professional debunker. That is until he enters room 1408 at the Dolphin Hotel, where fifty six people have died horrible deaths to date, and then he begins to find out how real the afterlife can be.
The trailer is over at Yahoo Movies [WMV:QT:M:480p:720p:1080p] through Coming Soon.
I have to say that even without the fact that I'm a big Cusack fan, this film looks really, really good. I'm a bit dubious about the moment with the painting, that might all turn a little too bizarre for me, but the rest of the ideas looks fantastic. The calling out of the room on the laptop and being told that the Police are in there and he isn't really struck me as a powerful moment.
Definitely worth seeing. What do you feel about it?
