Alien vs. Predator: AvP2 directors interviewed

AlienvsPredator.jpgThere's a lengthy interview with the directors of Alien vs. Predator: AvP2 online and the way the directors are speaking you'd be forgiven for thinking it could turn out quite well.

Greg and Colin Strause are the directors and have a lot to say in the footage. They talk about how they want to take the film back to the roots of the original films for both franchises. How Predator was never really seen until late on in the film, they want to build that tension again, and how the Alien films always have characters you can simply relate to.

All of it is really good and interesting stuff, and I think we're possibly in for a film that's better than the first.

It's really interesting that the Strause brothers have done so much in visual effects on some huge films and this is their first foray into directing, and yet they are so keen to play that down and say that although there will be effects that's not what they're after.

Have a look at the footage over the page and see what you think. Are these guys looking like they could do something good with the film?

The footage comes from YouTube through Skewed and Reviewed.

Well? What are your thoughts now?
