Despite Luc Besson saying that he's finished directing he's not stopping writing and producing, and he says that he's writing the sequel to District 13 (District B13 or Banlieue 13), that parkour filled action film.

Not only that but he also would love to do another Transporter film if the script was right, although I would hope that he doesn't make the car stunts too over the top if they do.

According to comments over at Coming Soon he says that he'd love Jason Statham back in the character that he really does love on screen.

When they asked him about the availability of the director of District 13 and the much sought after Cinematographer for Transporter, Unleashed and Rogue, he said that he would talk to Pierre Morel but that he'd cornered him for another project.

"...he's going to direct a film for me called 'Taken,' something I wrote. Liam Neeson is going to have the first part. It's a great, great film."

With the closing promise of more action scenes for Neesom it does sound like we really haven't heard the last of Besson's on screen magic. I say more Transporter and less Transporter 2 (Filmstalker review)!
