Get Smart is the film version of the sixties TV series about a bumbling secret agent who's always saved by his female secret agent partner, and already Steve Carrell is attached to play the lead Maxwell Smart with Anne Hathaway as his backup, now two more surprising names have been announced.

The Rock and Terence Stamp have been signed up. Rock will play another agent in Smart's team and Stamp is set to be the evil mastermind, something he's so good at playing.

The news comes from AICN and is pretty surprising, but it does mean that there's a decent push behind this film, but does any of this make you want to see it?

I'm quite a fan of Rock, so that reason combined with Stamp might just push it for me, but the idea of a bumbling secret agent doesn't really excite me, we've seen it time and time again. My mind keeps wondering how they can make this and not The Man From UNCLE.
